Welcome to a New Year

How are we all doing? Some of us will have had a good hunk of rest and relaxation and feel inspired for 2024. Others of us are still hanging out for a break. I pray that we all get a chance to rest and relax with a good holiday. God sets the pattern for rest in Gen 2:2, when He rested on the seventh day from His work of creating, making the day “holy.” Sundays are designed for us to “rest” in the Lord. If some of you are feeling church is “work” then you are serving too hard, and we need to change that. In 2024 Church must be a place of belonging, where we feel ministered to by God, and inspired. This requires that all of us make a commitment to serve in some capacity. Last year I felt that too much service was expected of our Clean-up crew, Worship Assistant and Sound team, Musicians, Children’s Ministry team, and Kitchen teams. So, if you are willing to start serving in any of these roles this year can you please let Vivienne know. Thank you. As the saying goes, “many hands make light work.” When we all serve together as a family, as the Body of Christ, we experience the fullness of Christ, and everybody is blessed and adequately rested.

May God rest your soul in the beauty of His presence, throughout 2024.
