Discipleship: We have 4 Discipleship-Groups for Bible study, fellowship, and prayer. Biblical sermons are preached by me and theologically trained leaders. We are focussing this year on building a discipling culture in the life of Connect where each person is discipled and actively disciples others.

Prayer: We run a Prayer meeting fortnightly in the chapel, Wed, 7.30-8.30pm. Every service we break into geographical area groups to pray. We have a prayer chain for urgent intercession. Prayer is our connection to the Lord for petition, thanksgiving, and praise, and helps us to listen to God’s response.

Global Connect: We support an orphanage in India, a Student Life person serving in Central Asia, Caleb leadership Ministry NZ, CAP (Christians against poverty), and Arotahi (our Baptist denomination mission arm).

Local Connect: We support the Hope Project. We run a Preschool and Playgroup. We run a Christmas event for our neighbours.

The worship ministry focuses on sharing the love of God in the form of music. We help lead the congregation to a place of worship in our church services, but also encourage this to happen outside of our Sunday gatherings.

Faith without community can be tricky to navigate, so we aim to create a safe environment where everyone is welcome, and open to encounter the love of God.

Kidz Zone is our Sunday morning ministry for children ages 3 – 12 years. Our goal is to support our children and families in growing a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. We do this through sharing stories from the bible and looking at how they apply to us today. We worship together through songs, games, crafts, and prayer. Preschool

Robyn Allen is Centre Manager of Connect Preschool. If you or your Whanau are looking for a Licensed Early Childhood Centre, come and visit anytime. We have an Open Door policy. I believe as parents and whanau, you get a feeling about a centre when you visit. Check out Connect Preschool website.

Playgroup

Come and join us on Wednesdays 9am-12Noon. We are a group of Mums, Dads and Whanau that meet while the children play in a safe, child friendly environment. Have a coffee and a chat and relax. All visitors welcome.

Vivienne Breen is our friendly office administrator who works at our church building during office hours (Monday to Thursday 9am - 12pm). Vivienne's work plays an integral part in the day to day running of Connect and she is always there to lend a hand, pointing people in the right direction.
