Manurewa Christmas in the Park - See the Star

Sunday, Dec 3, 5pm – 9.30pm, Mountfort Park, 180 Weymouth Rd, Manurewa

Rain date: Monday Dec 4.

Connect has an art tent for children to make stars and Christmas trees, kindly organized and facilitated by Jacqui, Paula, and Carolyn. We will be setting this up between 12 and 2pm.

The theme of this Christmas event is ‘see the star’ with the message of bringing hope to the nation. The event is organized by the Manurewa Council and Manurewa churches of all denominations. Actors will play the main characters of the Christmas story. They will be walking around interacting with the community and up on stage interacting with the MC.

There will be a minimum of 10 food vendors, coffee carts, a bouncy castle, face-painting, games for kids, henna, nails, prayer tents, chaplains, and much more.

Entertainment wise Adeaze has been confirmed to play just before the fireworks. They will have a large stage with two screens. There is a choir performing, youth band, 7-year-old girl dancing, some rappers, an artist named “Hales,” and possibly David Tua.

The fireworks will be around 9.20ish. It will be the biggest fireworks display the Council has put on this year. A great opportunity to share time with family, friends, neighbours who do not know Christ in a welcoming and open setting. A great chance to add to your conversation starters with people.

Come and enjoy!
