Prayer
At Connect we encourage each other to pray in a variety of settings - during Sunday services, throughout the week at gathered meetings and in our everyday lives.
Prayer changes things! God has given His people the amazing privilege in partnering with Him in seeing His Kingdom come. Just as countries such as New Zealand are governed by their own laws and principles, God's Kingdom too operates by particular laws and principles. One day God will bring His reign and rule fully on earth.
God calls His church to join with Him in seeing His Kingdom come on earth. The early church all joined together constantly in prayer (Acts 1:14). In prayer we partner with God in seeing His "will be done on earth as it is in heaven". We follow this Biblical example. God hears every prayer (Revelation 5:8). Prayer is talking to God, where we communicate our needs, the needs of others, our praise and our thanks (Philippians 4:6).
Our prayer times are when we intentionally set our faces to doing just this.
