It’s a New Year and a great time to focus on our Spiritual Gifts
Happy New Year’s Day, Church 😊I hope you are getting a chance to kick back and rest, whether you like to chill at the beach doing very little or prefer actively relaxing doing things you enjoy. Make time for yourself because you are important.
It’s a New Year and I’m really excited about what Christ has placed on my heart about “building a discipleship culture.” 2023 is going to be a year where we “take back what the locusts have eaten.”
Today our focus is on “Spiritual Gifts.” I’ve developed a list of the more common gifts, with descriptions, which we will look at today, as we discern in pairs or small groups what each other’s gifts may be. This is a comprehensive list but not exhaustive. God gifts all believers’ spiritual gifts for the common good of the church, 1 Corinthians 12:7. The Body of Christ is not fully functional if the “foot” or the “hand” is not playing their part. So, let’s step up in 2023, using our gifts and talents to build up the church and mature our own faith.
The message today is preached by Mic Duncan, ex Pastor of Manurewa Baptist, and lecturer at Carey Baptist College. You will enjoy his message, entitled, “Spirit: the gift-giver who enables the impossible.”
Wherever you are today, “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all,” 2 Corinthians 13:14.

About Pastor Julie
I’m passionate about the church – building believers up in their faith, to be all God intended them to be; and I’m passionate about sharing the love and hope of Jesus with people who don’t know Him yet.
