Pastors Pen 4th July 2021

04/07/2021 By Pastor Julie

Alive in the Spirit:   We as Christians follow the crucified, risen, and ascended Christ, who pours out His Spirit on all believers – young and old, male and female, in these last days, and we shall prophesy, see visions and have dreams. (Acts 2:17). Yahoo! This should be a daily event in the life of the Christian Church.

Having believed, we are marked in Christ with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit, guaranteeing our inheritance, until the redemption of those who are God’s possession (Ephesians 1:13) Our inheritance is eternal life in the personal presence of our Saviour and Lord. Now this should make us all jump for joy 😊

“He anointed us, set His seal of ownership on us, and put His Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come,” 2 Corinthians 1:21-22. We have been set apart for service to God. We don’t do this in our own strength, but in the joy and the life of the Spirit. We know both our identity and where we are going.

Our individual bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Co 6:19), and the world-wide Church is also that temple (2 Co 6:16). Therefore, we are alive, not dead; joyful, not down; optimistic, not pessimistic; hopeful, not worried; standing; not fallen.

Let us choose today to live in the Spirit, now and forevermore.

About Pastor Julie

I’m passionate about the church – building believers up in their faith, to be all God intended them to be; and I’m passionate about sharing the love and hope of Jesus with people who don’t know Him yet.
