Day four of being in our bubbles. Only a few to go! I just had a mate want to have a breakfast meeting with me. So, we are considering a virtual breakfast meeting. Skype and toast.
The Lord has given us time out to take stock of our lives. Time to slow down and refocus on what is really important. We can reflect on our relationships especially with Jesus who is our all in all and then with family. 1 Corinthians 6 :19 is a huge encouragement for enjoying the Jesus check time when it says, “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own for you have been bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body.”
In our lives as disciples of Christ, Jesus is the hub of the wheel. If our relationship with Him stays central and not pushed sideways by the pressures of this current world situation, then all else in whom we are and our interactions will have the ability to be balanced and grow. As we spend time at home, use it to sit quietly for set periods and listen to how the Lord sees your relationship with Him. Ask Him the deep questions about the different aspects of your life and how they are to grow and delight Him. At no other time in our history have we been given such a time as this to do an uninterrupted heart check.
Psalm 4 “but know that the Lord has set apart the godly person for Himself; the Lord hears when I call to Him. Tremble and do not sin; meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Offer sacrifices of righteousness and trust in the Lord….v8 In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you alone O Lord make me to dwell in safety.”
Keep safe, keep in your bubble and keep close to the Lord
