Elders Pen 10 November 2019

10/11/2019 By David Havill

With the weather warming up one of the images that comes to mind for me is a spring of water, chilled and clear – refreshing on a hot day.

Jesus said that if we drink of the water that He will give us we will not only be satisfied, but the water will become like a fountain flowing from us.

As we look at the Vision of the Bride of Christ in Revelation 22 we see the picture centred around a river that flows from the very presence of God in the midst of it all. It is the same Spirit of God that Jesus wants to be welling up through our lives – if we will work with Him.

Revelation 22 is not just a vision of the future, of what we will become, but it is also a challenge to us to live the potential and discover the satisfaction He provides. There is the promise that we will get there, which is very encouraging if we are not feeling that “successful”. And there is also a blessing if we take on board what He shows us as we walk daily with Him.
God bless you in your week, as you grow in your faithfulness to God.
