It may feel like a “drop in the ocean” when it comes to your giving for Prayer & Self Denial 2019 which supports our Baptist Tranzsend workers in Asia. Compared to what is needed, your giving may be small, but it is never insignificant. Without your help the Baptist movement could not do what we do in Asia. Thank you.
In NZ we have so much. Our children can all go to school here. Education is not just for the privileged. In Aotearoa we don’t feel compelled to work every waking hour just to put food on the table. We don’t need to feel sad when our child is born female. She will have equal opportunities in life, along with her male counterpart. In NZ we don’t have to accept abuse as part of life. We have social services that are not just for the rich. Our hospitals are free and health care is readily available and of a high standard. Our water is so clean that other nations come here to bottle it. Good sanitation is just expected here. Not so in the various parts of the world that our loving God has called our Baptist people to serve. Let’s support them by giving to Prayer & Self Denial today.
For those who have given, I thank you. May God continue to bless you for your kind generosity. Where God leads, you have followed.
Paul’s charge to Timothy….
“Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life,” 1 Timothy 6:18 – 19.
