Today we start a new short 5 – week series on the New Testament Book of “James.” What an encouraging letter this is for any Christian who is going through hard times and is tempted to go the way of the world, or even recant their Christian faith. James, the author, and brother of Jesus, knew what it is like not to have faith. He, along with Jesus’ brothers, refused to believe that Jesus was the promised Messiah right throughout Christ’s earthly ministry. It wasn’t until Jesus showed himself to James after His resurrection that James believed and went on to become a powerful leader of the Jerusalem Church. So if you’re having trouble believing in the power of Jesus Christ as you navigate life’s trials today, why not ask Him to reveal His glory to you and give you wisdom. He will give you the strength to stand firm in Him and to persevere in all His ways. God gives His wisdom generously to all who ask. He will give you the understanding and life skills to get through your trial, with all your Christian integrity still intact. God is never without power, but we believers sometimes lack genuine faith. What choice will you make today?

About Pastor Julie
I’m passionate about the church – building believers up in their faith, to be all God intended them to be; and I’m passionate about sharing the love and hope of Jesus with people who don’t know Him yet.
