We can trust the Father | October 8th

08/10/2017 By Pastor Julie

Isn’t it life-giving that we serve a God far bigger than humanity?

Our heavenly Father promises us eternal life, in a relationship with himself, the Son and the Holy Spirit. When we listen to the news, and all the evil things that are going on in the world today we can begin to fear doing many things. Concerts, airports, trains, market places, shopping malls, movie theatres are all places where people gather anticipating good things, but these days that is where evil and terror are taking people by surprise in the West, leaving many with a sense of fear, grief and hopelessness.

Jesus tells us in Matthew 24 to expect such things during these end times, but He also tells us to “stand firm.” Satan may use humans to do his bidding on earth, and yes he can destroy, but he can NEVER take away a believer’s soul and spirit. They belong to God. Our Father, who is in Heaven, NEVER stops working on our behalf (John 5:17). The church is sons and daughters of the Living God (Ro 4:11). To stand firm we have to look deep within ourselves at the free gift of the Spirit that the Father sent us. There we will find the courage to fight the good fight. There we will find the determination to advance the Kingdom of God. There we will find rest for our souls, a peace that transcends all understanding, an unspeakable joy, and a love that says “Be still and know that I am God.”

I love my spiritual daddy. Do you?

About Pastor Julie

I’m passionate about the church – building believers up in their faith, to be all God intended them to be; and I’m passionate about sharing the love and hope of Jesus with people who don’t know Him yet.
