Palm Sunday

11/04/2017 By Admin

About 550 years before Christ died the OT prophet Zechariah prophesied Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem the week before He was crucified.

“See, your King comes to you,

righteous and having salvation,

gentle and riding on a donkey,

on a colt, the foal of a donkey,”

Zechariah 9:9

Our King did not pridefully enter Jerusalem on a war-horse, as expected of a victorious king, He entered with humility on a lowly animal of peace, Mt 21: 1-11. As believers in Christ we do not need to get all anxious and defensive when people oppose us. Opposition will be with us always, and more so as Christ’s Second Coming approaches. Christ knew His identity; He knew His mission; He knew that God was behind Him every step of the way, and He kept His eye on the goal. Can you say the same…………..?
