God Hates Evil

30/10/2016 By Admin

Today is week 2 of our new preaching series “1 and 2 Kings: Kingship and Covenant,” and we will be looking at King Ahab, the most evil king in all of Israel’s biblical history. Some people think that we shouldn’t be looking at Satanism on a Sunday morning, but this is what King Ahab was into, and this Satanic worship is the one thing that God “hates.” Satanic worship is all through our Bible and God does not want us to be blind to it. We live in a world where Satanic worship is far more subtle than it was back in biblical times. We can’t always recognise it and the influence it has on the church. That’s why we need to go back to the OT to find out what the “roots” of Satanism look like so that we are alert to it’s potential influence over us. The Good News is that  “Greater is He (Christ) who lives in us (Christians), than he (Satan) who is in the world,” 1 John 4:4
