Crossroads

23/09/2016 By Admin

crossroads

Are you standing at the crossroad of your life today wondering whether you should accept Christ as your Lord and Saviour or not? If you’re at this crossroad it’s because God has called you this far. He wants to offer you eternal life, which starts the moment you believe. Full and true peace, joy, love and hope can only be found through faith in Jesus Christ. Can you hear a voice in your other ear telling you that you’ll have to give up this and that if you choose to believe? That’s the voice of deception trying to tell you that you must change your behaviours BEFORE you accept Christ. It’s not true. ALL Christians are only able to reject the power of sin in their lives through the power of the Holy Spirit, and that only happens AFTER you become a Christian.  Jesus says

“Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light,”  Mt 11:28-30.

Change in our behaviours comes slowly as Jesus transforms our thinking to become more and more like His own. Why not say this simple prayer today. “Jesus Christ I invite you to be my Lord and Saviour today. I believe that you died for my sins, were raised to life, and ascended to Heaven. I believe that You will send Your Holy Spirit to live in me. I believe in the Trinity – the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Please forgive me for my past sins (list them if they are weighing heavy on your mind) and lead me into life eternal. I ask this in Jesus Christ’s Name. Amen” Hallelujah! Welcome into the Kingdom of God. Now that inner peace that you have yearned for has become yours. Congratulations.
