Introducing the Mountfords’
Kia ora koutou, what a delight it is for us to be at Connect! My name is Nicola Mountfort and Pastor Julie’s asked me to introduce myself and my family.
I’ve been a student at Carey Baptist College since 2016. Initially I was just dipping my toes in, taking one paper each semester, but rapidly I increased to three papers as I felt the clarification of my call. So, I’m here on pastoral leadership placement this summer. Thanks for having me serve and worship alongside you.
My background is in design (mostly graphics), and I’m into reading, and gardening. Growing up, my family served in puppet-ministry (Personality Puppets), which played a huge part in shaping me.
My husband, Curtis loves surfing and running. He was a sole practitioner Chartered Accountant in Howick and East Tamaki for 20 years, now he’s a real estate agent. Eva (17) has finished year 13 at Macleans College and is off to Rome next year to be an au pair, before returning home to study. Liliana (15) excels at making movies, and is going on an exchange to USA late next year. Chloe-Mae (13) enjoys netball and hanging out with friends. Jessica (10) loves swimming, and performing on the stage.
We have been at Summit Church Botany (previously named BotanyLife) for the past 16 years.
It was sad to be farewelled last week, but we are excited about what God has in store for us, in participating in his mission.
Yet again, thanks for having us! We are looking forward to getting to know you.
~ Nicola
